About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturing business seeking an experienced Electronics Production Supervisor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on supervisor with a strong background in electronics manufacturing, assembly, or production environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading production activities, maintaining quality standards, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring customer delivery requirements are met.
The Role
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Electronics Production Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operation of the production department, managing workflow, supporting team performance, and ensuring products are manufactured in line with company standards and specifications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and supporting a team of production and electronics operatives
- Allocating work and managing daily production activities
- Monitoring output and ensuring production targets and deadlines are achieved
- Providing technical support and guidance to team members
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures
- Carrying out hands-on assembly, wiring and soldering activities where required
- Ensuring products are manufactured in accordance with technical drawings and specifications
- Maintaining high standards of quality, consistency and workmanship
- Monitoring production quality and implementing corrective actions when necessary
- Assisting with production planning and scheduling
- Coordinating with internal departments to ensure efficient workflow
- Ensuring materials and resources are available to support production requirements
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the department
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Previous supervisory experience within an electronics, manufacturing, production, or assembly environment
- Strong understanding of electronics assembly and production processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively
Desirable
- Experience within LED lighting, electrical products, or a related industry
- Soldering and electronic assembly experience
