Assistant Site Manager in Salford

Location: Salford, Manchester Project: £5m Façade Remediation Scheme Sector: External Envelope / Cladding Remediation Salary: Competitive + package (DOE) An established contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a £5m façade remediation scheme in Salford. This role is ideally suited to an ambitious Assistant Site Manager who is ready to take the next step toward Site Management and is looking for the right level of support and development to do so. The successful candidate will support the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of site, subcontractor coordination, health & safety, quality checks and client / resident liaison, playing a key role in the successful delivery of a technically challenging remediation project. Key Responsibilities * Support the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of a £5m façade remediation scheme * Assist in coordinating subcontractors, labour and materials across façade and remediation works * Monitor site progress and support programme delivery * Help maintain health & safety standards, RAMS compliance and site documentation * Assist with quality inspections, snagging and technical compliance checks * Support site records, daily reporting and progress updates * Liaise with subcontractors, residents, clients and consultants in a professional manner * Assist in managing logistics, deliveries and site coordination * Support the smooth delivery of works through to completion and handover Ideal Background * Experience working as an Assistant Site Manager on construction projects * Exposure to façade, cladding, remediation, external envelope or refurbishment works preferred * Experience supporting delivery of construction packages on live sites * Strong understanding of site operations, subcontractor coordination and health & safety * Comfortable working closely with residents, clients and the wider site team * Good communication skills and confident dealing with people on live / occupied projects * Ambitious and looking to progress into a Site Manager role * Construction qualification or strong trade background preferred * Experience on occupied buildings or client / resident-facing projects highly desirable Required Qualifications * SMSTS or SSSTS * CSCS Card * First Aid * Relevant construction qualification preferred (HNC / HND / Degree) or strong trade background Ideal Candidate This role is ideal for an experienced Assistant Site Manager who is ready to step up, take on more responsibility and progress toward Site Management with the right support.
