A growing and well-established construction contractor is looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work on initial schemes of façade remediation and external works projects across the North West, typically valued between £3m – £5m. The role will involve supporting the delivery of multiple live projects while working closely with an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. The successful candidate will join a collaborative commercial team delivering high-quality construction projects with a strong pipeline of work.

The Role

The Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial management of multiple schemes, overseeing projects across the North West from a Manchester office base. You will assist with the financial and contractual management of projects from procurement through to final account, ensuring strong cost control and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the commercial management of multiple construction projects
  • Assisting with cost control, valuations and subcontractor management
  • Supporting procurement and contract administration
  • Preparing and reviewing project cost reports
  • Working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor and wider project teams
  • Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and commercial targets

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (essential)
  • Experience working within a main contractor or Tier 2 contractor environment
  • Exposure to façade remediation, other remediation or similar construction projects
  • Experience supporting or managing multiple live projects
  • Operating at Quantity Surveyor level (not Senior QS)

We would also consider a strong Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to step up, with responsibilities and level reflective of experience.
