An established main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Design Manager to join their Northern team based in Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with a strong pipeline of major construction projects.
You ll oversee the design process on 1 2 live projects at a time, ensuring design is coordinated, programme-driven and delivered to the highest standard from pre-construction through to completion.
The Role Reporting to the Regional Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing the design process, coordinating consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and fully compliant.
You will play a key role in driving design programmes, managing technical queries, mitigating design risks and ensuring seamless communication between all project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities * Manage the design process from pre-construction through to project completion. * Coordinate architects, consultants, subcontractors and client design teams. * Review and manage design information, technical submissions and RFIs. * Ensure design programmes align with construction programmes. * Identify and manage design risks and value engineering opportunities. * Chair design meetings and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. * Support project teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
