Site Handyman

MCR Property Group is a leading independent real estate investment and development company with a strong UK presence and offices in key cities including London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Glasgow. We focus on developing new residential and industrial projects while managing a diverse portfolio of approximately 5,000 residential plots and commercial/industrial assets exceeding £2 billion in value.

Key Responsibilities

1. Complete various construction tasks independently as required for the project
2. Perform general maintenance and repairs across the construction site
3. Assist with site preparation and clean-up when required
4. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
5. Respond to immediate site needs and urgent repair requirements
6. Support the Project Managers when required
7. Complete snagging work and finishing details
8. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
9. Keep records of completed tasks
10. Follow all health and safety protocols
11. Assist with material handling and organisation when needed

Required Experience & Qualifications

1. Proven experience in construction/maintenance roles (minimum 2 years)
2. Multi-skilled with abilities across various trades (carpentry, basic plumbing, general building work)
3. Experience with breaking out/cutting slabs, installing handrails and similar construction tasks
4. Competent in using power tools and construction equipment
5. Valid CSCS card
6. Basic understanding of construction site operations
7. Knowledge of health and safety regulations
8. Full UK driving license

Tools & Equipment

1. Must have own basic tools
2. Specialist tools will be provided by the site as required

Working Conditions

1. Primary base: Oxford House, Aylesbury, HP19 7BU
2. Willingness to travel to other sites occasionally required
3. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:30pm
4. Potential for occasional weekend work during critical phases
5. Physically demanding role requiring lifting, carrying, and working in various positions
