As a Senior Software Engineer on the Operations Infrastructure team, you will lead the design and implementation of the systems that ensure the reliability and health of our cloud platform. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy to architect scalable monitoring, alerting, and dashboarding solutions, working closely with infrastructure teams to prototype new patterns. In this role, you will also serve as a technical mentor to junior colleagues, defining engineering standards for metrics and playbooks and fostering a culture of operational excellence across the organization.

- Design and build scalable operations infrastructure, covering monitoring, alerting, and data visualization tools.
- Ensure the reliability of the cloud platform by creating tools that enable proactive incident detection and response.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to design and prototype new architecture that supports long-term platform stability.
- Mentor and support junior engineers (L4) to foster technical growth and ensure high-quality code and system design.
- Define and standardize technical requirements for engineering teams regarding observability metrics, logging, and operational playbooks.
- Drive the adoption of proactive incident detection tools to minimize downtime and improve system resilience.
Skills you will need to be successful
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in software development with a focus on infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps.
- Experience mentoring or technically leading junior engineers or small project teams.
- Experience with one of Go, Python, or C++.
- Experience building or working with logging, monitoring, and alerting tooling.
- Experience with public cloud platforms and Kubernetes.
Skills that will differentiate your candidacy
- Experience with specific monitoring and visualization tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
- 2 years of experience participating in on-call rotation.
- Experience defining Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
