Intretech is a successful global manufacturing company with production facilities across China, Malaysia, Hungary, and Mexico. Due to continued growth, we are recruiting a Team Lead and Technical Project Manager to join our expanding UK engineering team. This newly created role combines hands-on technical project delivery with team leadership responsibility, offering the opportunity to shape processes, mentor Technical Project Managers, and lead complex engineering projects for international clients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of Technical Project Managers, including performance reviews, coaching, and development planning
- Deliver end-to-end client projects from proposal stage through to production sign-off
- Act as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle
- Own SCRUM processes including sprint planning, retrospectives, KPI tracking, and team cadence
- Create and manage detailed project plans using MS Project or equivalent tools
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, finance tracking, and margin analysis
- Maintain risk registers, action trackers, and change logs to ensure effective project governance
- Produce regular client reports covering project progress, risks, and upcoming activities
- Coordinate cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to achieve delivery targets
- Support RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs by developing technical proposals and delivery plans
- Lead project meetings internally and externally, including occasional travel to client and factory locations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across TPM processes, reporting, and delivery standards
- Support resource planning and provide project visibility to senior management
- Degree in Engineering preferred, although Business Management or related disciplines will be considered
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- At least 2 years of experience in a formal team leadership or people management role
- Strong understanding of product development, manufacturing, automation, robotics, and quality standards
- Experience using Agile, SCRUM, and/or Waterfall project management methodologies
- Proven ability to create and manage detailed project plans and delivery schedules
- Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience conducting performance reviews, setting objectives, and mentoring technical professionals
- Ability to manage budgets, forecasts, risk registers, and project reporting documentation
- Fluent English language skills required
- Mandarin language skills would be advantageous
- Flexibility to travel internationally when required
