Intrepid Global is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (CE) Drivers. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional transport operation completing scheduled deliveries to retail stores, with ongoing work, regular shifts and weekly pay.
We're looking for reliable, safety-conscious drivers who take pride in delivering excellent service and representing both the client and Intrepid Global professionally.
The Role
As a Class 1 Driver, you'll be responsible for completing store deliveries safely, efficiently and on time, ensuring all deliveries are carried out in accordance with company procedures and UK transport legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 (Category CE) vehicles.
- Complete scheduled deliveries to retail stores across your allocated routes.
- Load and unload deliveries where required using the appropriate equipment.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and report any defects immediately.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and obtain proof of delivery.
- Comply with all DVSA regulations, Drivers' Hours Rules and the Working Time Directive.
- Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness, security and presentation.
- Communicate effectively with the transport office, store teams and customers.
- Handle goods carefully to minimise damage and ensure deliveries arrive in excellent condition.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling practices.
What We're Looking For
To be considered, you'll need:
- A valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category CE) licence.
- A valid Driver CPC qualification.
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- A good understanding of Drivers' Hours Rules and the Working Time Directive.
- Previous experience in store deliveries, retail distribution or multi-drop work is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent time management and the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to work early starts, weekends and bank holidays where required.
