We are looking for an experienced and reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to join our commercial waste collection team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating waste collection vehicles, carrying out commercial waste collections from customer sites, and ensuring all work is completed efficiently and in accordance with company procedures and legal requirements.
The role involves driving a Class 2 vehicle, operating waste collection equipment, completing daily vehicle checks, and providing a professional service to commercial customers.
Key Responsibilities Safely operate Class 2 HGV waste collection vehicles.
Carry out scheduled commercial waste collections and deliveries.
Collect and transport general, recyclable and other commercial waste in accordance with company procedures.
Safely operate vehicle-mounted equipment and waste-loading systems where required.
Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
Ensure waste is securely contained and transported safely.
Follow designated routes and collection schedules.
Complete all required paperwork, electronic records and waste documentation accurately.
Ensure collections are completed efficiently and within allocated timeframes.
