We are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 Drivers for a full-time role carrying out residential kerbside collections in the Doncaster area. The role involves driving RCVs and dustcarts while assisting with loading during collections. This is a physically active role, so candidates must be comfortable getting in and out of the vehicle throughout the day and working as part of a collection crew.

Duties

  • Driving Class 2 RCVs and dustcarts
  • Completing residential kerbside collections
  • Assisting with loading
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks
  • Following all road safety and site procedures
  • Working effectively as part of a collection team
  • Delivering a reliable and professional service

Requirements

  • Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
  • Valid Driver CPC
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Minimum of one year's Class 2 driving experience
  • Previous waste or recycling experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
  • Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
  • Able to work Tuesday to Friday

Shift Pattern

  • Tuesday to Friday
  • 6:00am–4:30pm
  • 30-minute unpaid lunch
  • 40 hours per week

Pay & Benefits

  • £14.52 per hour
  • £71.60 weekly bonus
  • Equivalent hourly rate including the bonus is approximately £16.25 per hour

Recruitment Process

Driver assessments are available from 10:00am onwards, with successful candidates progressing to induction. Candidates will also need to provide a record of their Driver CPC periodic training hours before being allocated a vehicle. We recommend registering for access to your CPC training record as early as possible, as login details can take several days to arrive.
