We are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 Drivers for a full-time role carrying out residential kerbside collections in the Doncaster area. The role involves driving RCVs and dustcarts while assisting with loading during collections. This is a physically active role, so candidates must be comfortable getting in and out of the vehicle throughout the day and working as part of a collection crew.
Duties:
- Driving Class 2 RCVs and dustcarts
- Completing residential kerbside collections
- Assisting with loading
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Following all road safety and site procedures
- Working effectively as part of a collection team
- Delivering a reliable and professional service
Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum of one year's Class 2 driving experience
- Previous waste or recycling experience is advantageous but not essential
- Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
- Able to work Tuesday to Friday
Shift Pattern:
Tuesday to Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm, 30-minute unpaid lunch, 40 hours per week
Pay & Benefits:
£14.52 per hour, £71.60 weekly bonus, Equivalent hourly rate including the bonus is approximately £16.25 per hour
Recruitment Process:
Driver assessments are available from 10:00am onwards, with successful candidates progressing to induction. Candidates will also need to provide a record of their Driver CPC periodic training hours before being allocated a vehicle. We recommend registering for access to your CPC training record as early as possible, as login details can take several days to arrive.
