We are currently looking for experienced Community Chemotherapy Nurses to join our growing network of healthcare professionals, delivering high-quality chemotherapy and specialist treatments directly to patients in their own homes.
This is an excellent opportunity for nurses who enjoy providing personalised care in the community and want the flexibility of working outside of a traditional hospital environment.
You will be responsible for delivering safe, compassionate and clinically effective chemotherapy and supportive treatments while working independently in patients' homes.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver chemotherapy and other specialist treatments safely within patients' homes.
Assess patients before, during and after treatment.
Monitor patients for adverse reactions, side effects and changes in clinical condition.
Administer chemotherapy and supportive therapies in accordance with prescribed treatment plans and local protocols.
Provide patient and family education regarding treatment, side effects and ongoing care.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Liaise with oncologists, hospital teams, pharmacists, community services and other healthcare professionals.
Recognise and appropriately escalate any clinical concerns or deterioration.
Follow infection prevention, medication management and health & safety procedures.
