You’ll enjoy working across the stack – React / TypeScript on the front end and Java / Spring Boot on the back end.
Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate closely: pair programming, code reviews, refactoring, and writing tests (unit, component, end‑to‑end).
- Quality & accessibility: follow clean code, secure coding practices, WCAG, aligned accessibility and frontend testing strategies.
- Help maintain clear up‑to‑date technical documentation to make onboarding easier for new team members.
- Agile ways of working: actively engage in standups, planning, reviews and retrospectives.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Some commercial experience (or substantial project/placement work) building web applications.
- Front end: basics with React and TypeScript; familiarity with routing, data fetching.
- Back end: fundamentals in Java and Spring Boot (building simple REST endpoints, data access).
- Testing mindset: exposure to Jest / React Testing Library and JUnit on the server side.
- Version control: comfortable with Git branches, pull requests and code reviews.
- Databases: basic SQL and awareness of document/relational databases.
- Communication: clear written and spoken English; collaborative and open to feedback.
- Education: Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
Other Qualifications
- Azure familiarity and CI/CD with Azure Pipelines or GitHub Actions.
- Containers & cloud basics: Docker environment configuration and deployment fundamentals.
- OpenAPI / Swagger design/consumption and API tools (e.g. Postman, Bruno).

- Training and support to reach your full potential including continuous professional development.
- Competitive salary, pension package and a range of flexible benefits and rewards.
- Challenging tasks with individual development and training opportunities.
