We are looking for a highly organised and professional School Immunisation Administrator to support the immunisation programme in Wigan. The role involves indirect supervision of immunisation nurses and ensures efficient delivery of immunisation services within schools.
Responsibilities
- Support immunisation nurses with indirect supervision from the team leader or locality lead nurse.
- Collect vaccinations from the base and provide them to schools; return all equipment to the base after each session.
- Operate NHS England's immunisation platform MAVIS using a company laptop or tablet.
- Maintain personal vehicle with valid business insurance for travel to schools.
- Follow manual handling guidelines – lift vaccination bags up to 20 kg with assistance when necessary.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control measures in clinical settings.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience working with children in a school setting or similar environments (preferred).
- Basic IT proficiency and familiarity with tablets/laptops.
- Own car with business insurance and availability to travel between schools and base.
- Good physical fitness; able to lift bags weighing up to 20 kg.
- Available to start from July 2026.
- Will undertake an enhanced DBS check, online and face‑to‑face training beginning July 2026.

Successful candidates may be asked to work in other Greater Manchester boroughs (Royton, Denton, Trafford Park and Bolton).
