OverviewA level of mobility is required for this role.
The Business Analyst is responsible for producing Business Analysis deliverables for a Programme / Project / Work stream. Business Analysts are responsible for the analysis and documentation of business needs based on the desired / strategic outcomes of the project. This role requires a strong, well‐rounded and dynamic individual with proven Business Analysis capabilities. The individual must have a demonstrable ability to work across all levels of stakeholders within a commercial environment. Reporting into the Project Services environment, this role delivers Business Analysis elements of change and IT projects to agreed cost, time and quality standards.
Accountable for
Elicitation and discovery of business needs that need to be addressed by a Programme / Project / Work Stream
Analysis of requirements via various modelling techniques to ensure they are complete and unambiguous
Formal documentation of requirements in agreed formats for circulation to stakeholders
Management of requirements from initial elicitation, changes and through to delivery, ensuring traceability to business requirements through solution design to sign off
Utilise relevant BA techniques in the production of analysis collateral to support management decisions, applying an appropriate level of challenge to ensure positive outcomes
Business Process Design, Modelling and documentation
Support the evaluation of Solution Options for a project
Engaging with business subject matter experts to understand current business processes and/or transitional and future requirements, holding Planning/Facilitation/Workshops as appropriate
Proactively identifying potential improvements as part of a wider Business Analysis competency and consultancy, working closely with the wider team
Adherence to PMO Methodology and Governance standards, working in accordance with Client Group policies, Client and Regulatory/mandatory requirements and operational frameworks
Strong sense of self‐achievement, taking accountability for self‐development within the role

Skills & ExperienceEssential
Proven background as a Business Analyst with experience of using structured methodologies and techniques and the ability to apply the most appropriate techniques to a project
Strong facilitation, communication, listening, coaching and presentation skills, with experience of running results‐driven workshops
Ability to work at a conceptual level where business objectives and requirements may not be well defined
Able to build effective and productive stakeholder relationships both internally at all levels and with 3rd parties, demonstrating strong influencing skills
Excellent analytical, numerical reasoning, verbal and written skills, with a keen eye to detail and accuracy
Methodical and flexible with an ability to prioritise /multitask in a challenging working environment, to deliver to tight deadlines
Team player who makes a positive contribution to the team and takes pride in helping the team to deliver
Desirable
Experience of working with business and technical delivery resources (including 3rd party suppliers)
Awareness of system analysis techniques
Experience working within an outsourcing environment
Experience of working within a project services/IT environment delivering change and/or transformation projects
Microsoft packages
Relevant ISEB/BCS qualifications or equivalent
