Into Games is launching a major new programme in Dundee, supported by the Amazon Regional Creatives Fund, to open up games careers for young people from low-income and working-class backgrounds. To help make this work locally and brilliantly, we’re hiring a Regional Coordinator to be the connector, organiser and voice of Into Games across the city.
This is a role for someone deeply rooted in Dundee’s games community, someone who knows the studios, understands the landscape, and enjoys bringing people together for a shared mission. You’ll be well supported by the national Into Games team and will report directly to both the CEO and Chief Development Officer.
About the Role
Working one-two days per week, the Regional Coordinator will act as the central link between local game studios, schools, youth organisations and Into Games. You’ll work closely with our local delivery partners, Hot Chocolate Trust and Helm Training, to help connect local games industry professionals to a coordinated programme of workshops, after-school clubs, youth activities, qualifications and paid internships that form Dundee’s new games careers ‘Waypoint’. You’ll make it easier than ever for industry professionals to give their time and for young people to gain meaningful routes into the sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Industry Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with Dundee games studios and professionals, coordinating their involvement in school workshops, youth groups and community activities through a regularly updated regional CRM database.
- Programme Support: Act as the main local point of contact for partners such as Hot Chocolate Trust, HELM, Dundee & Angus College and individual schools, ensuring their activities run smoothly.
- Stakeholder Comms: Regularly meet (monthly) with key local partners, youth workers, careers leaders, educational leaders, and studios to update and troubleshoot programme delivery, and update all partners with a comprehensive monthly updates and opportunities email.
- Impact Tracking: Help collect local data, stories and feedback on activities as required by Into Games' reporting frameworks, including organising regular photo/press opportunities at local activities.
- Local Voice for Into Games: Represent Into Games in the region by attending events, speaking with partners.
- Coordination & Administration: Schedule sessions, help match industry volunteers with opportunities, manage communications, and ensure clear reporting back to the national team.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has existing relationships within Dundee’s games sector, you should know the people, culture and studios.
- Is a natural connector who enjoys bringing partners together and building trust.
- Is confident working with a variety of stakeholders: industry, schools, youth workers and colleges.
- Communicates clearly and professionally, both in person and in writing.
- Is comfortable being a visible, local representative for Into Games.
- Understands the value of diversity, youth work and inclusive pathways into creative industries.
- Is organised, reliable and able to manage multiple threads at once.
- Experience in youth work, education, careers, community organising, or games production is welcome, but we are open to applicants from non-traditional backgrounds who can demonstrate credibility and connection within Dundee’s games community.
