Location: EMEA Regional Hub – UK, Germany or Poland

Position Purpose

As Chief Commercial Officer & General Manager for EMEA, the person holding this role will own the commercial trajectory of intive's most established territory – a business of approximately 1,000 people across Germany, UK, Ireland, Poland and Romania – at a moment when the region has more open enterprise opportunity in front of it than at any point in its history. The mandate is to convert that opportunity into won work, and to scale it. The role holder will hold full P&L accountability and will lead a high-performing, cross-functional leadership team spanning Business Development, Operations, Technology and Account Management to accelerate organic growth, drive digital engineering excellence, and elevate intive's brand voice across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

This is a highly commercial, customer-centric, and operational leadership role. The person holding this role will be personally present in the region's most significant pursuits, bridging the gap between bleeding-edge technology solutions and strategic business development, and positioning intive as the premier AI and digital product partner for enterprise clients. Doing so demands genuine fluency in AI as a technology, not only as a market narrative: the confidence to go several layers deep with client CTOs and engineering leaders on where the technology is heading, what it does and does not yet do well, and how it applies to specific business scenarios — from reshaping a client's product proposition to accelerating how software is built and assured.

Key Responsibilities Listed in order of priority.

  • Commercial Growth (Sales & Marketing)
    • Sales Acceleration: Works with the regional Business Development leads to scale the region's hunting and farming engines, target high-value enterprise accounts, and secure long-term, strategic digital transformation partnerships.
    • Deal Leadership: Personally leads the qualification, shaping and closing of the region's most strategic and complex pursuits, raising conversion on qualified opportunities and improving deal quality and shape.
    • Go-To-Market & Marketing Strategy: Sets the regional commercial priorities and narrative, and collaborates with our global Marketing function to define regional value propositions. Drives targeted account-based marketing (ABM), thought leadership, and industry events to position intive as a visionary in digital product design and engineering.
    • Strategic Client Advisory: Acts as an executive sponsor for key regional accounts, stepping into a consultative role to help prospective and existing clients navigate complex digital strategies.
  • Strategic Leadership & P&L Management
    • Owns the full EMEA P&L, driving revenue growth, margin optimization, and operational efficiency across the region.
    • Translates intive's global vision into a cohesive EMEA regional strategy that aligns sales pipelines with delivery capabilities and technological innovation.
    • Concentrates the region's focus and investment on a defined set of high-conviction market and industry plays where intive can win decisively, and builds the proposition, references and capability behind each one.
    • Fosters an agile, inclusive, and high-performance culture across multi-country, distributed teams in EMEA.
  • Delivery Excellence & Client Satisfaction
    • Ensures the regional delivery engine consistently meets and exceeds client expectations, optimizing Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and project margins.
    • Leverages delivery credibility as a commercial asset, converting first mandates into long-term, expanding client partnerships.
    • Oversees the evolution of delivery methodologies (Agile, DevOps, Product-led development) to ensure rapid time-to-market for software products.
    • Mitigates risk by proactively managing delivery bottlenecks, resource forecasting, and cross-functional capacity planning.
  • Technological Innovation & Capability Building
    • Works hand-in-hand with the EMEA Technology leadership to future-proof intive's technical capabilities, with AI as the leading priority alongside cloud native architecture, data engineering and platform modernisation.
    • Sets the regional agenda for AI — shaping the AI-enabled services and reference cases that differentiate intive in its chosen industries, and championing AI's internal application to accelerate delivery and raise engineering quality, so the region can demonstrate outcomes rather than describe ambition.
    • Promotes an engineering culture that values code quality, architectural integrity, and domain-driven design.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Listed in order of priority.

  • Growth: Win Rate on Qualified Opportunities, Pipeline Velocity, Account Expansion Rate (YoY), and Net New Logo Acquisition.
  • Financial: EMEA Revenue Target, Gross Margin %, and EBITDA.
  • Delivery: Project Delivery Margin and Client Retention/NPS.
  • People & Tech: Employee Retention Rate, Utilisation Rate, and Tech Stack Competency Evolution (e.g., certs, AI adoption).

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven Commercial Leadership: 10+ years leading a regional or business-unit P&L within a digital product development company, technology consultancy, or premium software services agency, with a personal track record of winning and growing strategic enterprise accounts.
  • Full P&L Ownership: Demonstrated success managing a regional P&L of at least €50M–€100M+, with a track record of consistent year-on-year growth and measurable improvement in conversion on qualified opportunities.
  • Deep Tech Sector Knowledge: Deep familiarity with modern digital product ecosystems – agile software engineering, cloud transformations, UX/UI design principles, and emerging technologies – with sufficient technical credibility to engage client CTOs and engineering leaders directly. Substantive command of AI in particular: deep enough to lead commercial conversations on it credibly, and practical enough to know how to apply it – to enable new services for clients, to accelerate delivery, and to improve engineering quality.
  • EMEA Footprint: Extensive experience navigating the nuanced cultural, regulatory, and business landscapes across various European markets (including DACH, UK, and CEE delivery hubs).
  • Entrepreneurial Track Record: Experience building a business rather than inheriting one — whether founding a venture, standing up a new market, practice or product line from scratch, or leading a business unit through a step-change in scale. Comfort operating with incomplete infrastructure, making decisions on partial information, and moving before the playbook exists.
