To provide immediate, hands-on project control across all live Insurance projects, ensuring delivery is visible, measurable and actively managed. This role is not a strategic PMO position. It is a short-term stabilisation role, focused on bringing discipline, clarity and control to delivery during a period of team change and heightened delivery risk.

The PMO Lead will work directly with Project Managers and delivery teams to:

  • Establish clear project status (RAG) across all work
  • Ensure accurate reporting, risk visibility and escalation
  • Bring practical structure to live delivery using Azure DevOps

  2. Reporting and Visibility
    • Implement a simple, consistent weekly reporting cadence.
    • Provide the CIO with a single, trusted view of portfolio status.
    • Ensure reporting clearly aligns plans, progress, risks and financial position.
  3. Project Discipline — Azure DevOps Focus
    • Ensure all projects are structured consistently in Azure DevOps.
    • Drive disciplined use of backlogs, iterations, ownership and tracking.
    • Use Azure DevOps to create practical visibility across live delivery activity.
  4. Risk and Issue Management
    • Implement a standard RAID approach across all projects.
    • Ensure risks and issues are identified early, made visible and actively managed.
    • Escalate issues promptly with clear recommendations and proposed next steps.
