We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Surface Wellhead Technician to install, maintain, inspect, and repair surface wellhead equipment. The successful candidate will support maintenance, drilling, completion, production, and intervention activities while ensuring all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, pressure test, maintain, and repair surface wellhead systems and associated pressure control equipment.
  • Assist with rig-up and rig-down operations during drilling and completion activities.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on wellhead equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform corrective maintenance in the field.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with HSE policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report defects or operational concerns.
  • Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation.
  • Work closely with drilling crews, production teams, and supervisors to support operational requirements.
  • Operate hand tools, hydraulic tools, torque equipment, and lifting devices safely.
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
  • Support emergency response activities when required.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with surface wellhead systems or oilfield pressure control equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas field operations and safety standards.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, procedures, and equipment manuals.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work rotational schedules, overtime, and offshore/onshore locations as required.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy equipment and working in demanding environments.
  • H2S, BOSIET, MIST, or other oil and gas safety certifications.
  • Experience working offshore or in remote field operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant mechanical or engineering certification/apprenticeship.
  • Subsea experience not required however a big plus.
