The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.
This is a remote position. This role is based in a South America region on a full-time, onsite basis with a full relocation package provided, including a pension scheme and excellent annual leave benefits. Our client will also consider professionals with a strong oil and gas environmental management background for the position if they are only available to work on a hybrid basis, with regular visits to the South American country.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the assessment of environmental statements and oil pollution emergency plans.
- Manage the environmental inspection programme for offshore vessels and platforms.
- Act as a lead advisor on marine conservation and environmental mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with government bodies and environmental agencies to ensure transparency and compliance.
- Lead the response to any environmental non-compliance or pollution incidents.
Requirements
- Robust experience in environmental management within the energy or offshore sectors.
- Strong understanding of international environmental standards (e.g., ISO 14001) and marine legislation.
- Experience in managing teams and overseeing field-based environmental inspectors.
- Academic background in Environmental Science, Marine Biology, or a related field.
