Intervl are partnered with one of the UK's fastest growing EV infrastructure rollouts and they are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to take ownership of the construction of their projects. You'll define how construction is delivered across the business, establish contractor partnerships, drive commercial performance, and build a scalable delivery model capable of supporting hundreds of sites.
What you'll be doing:
- Own construction delivery across a growing portfolio of EV charging infrastructure projects.
- Develop and implement construction strategy, processes and delivery standards.
- Lead contractor procurement, tendering and commercial negotiations.
- Manage contractor performance, quality, programme and cost across multiple live projects.
- Establish cost benchmarks and drive continuous improvements in delivery efficiency.
- Lead the construction function, building and mentoring a high-performing team as the business scales.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
- Work closely with programme, design and leadership teams to support an ambitious national rollout.
What we're looking for:
- 7+ years' experience delivering construction projects within infrastructure, utilities, energy or civil engineering.
- Proven experience managing multiple contractors and complex project portfolios.
- Strong commercial understanding of tendering, procurement and contract management (JCT and/or NEC).
- Excellent knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction best practice.
- A proactive leader who takes ownership and enjoys solving complex delivery challenges.
- Experience building processes and improving construction performance at scale.
Highly desirable:
- EV charging infrastructure.
- Utilities or power distribution projects.
- HV electrical infrastructure.
- ICP/DNO delivery experience.
- Major infrastructure or energy construction.
- Experience within a fast-growing or scale-up environment.
