I am supporting a genuinely exciting technology business operating at the intersection of connected devices, software platforms, APIs and real-world operational systems. This is not a traditional enterprise SaaS presales role. The business is looking for somebody who understands the complexity of software interacting with hardware in live operational environments.
The role sits between enterprise customers, sales, product and engineering, acting as the technical-commercial bridge across customer discovery, solution design, integrations and implementation.
You could come from environments such as:
- Connected devices / IoT
- Telematics / fleet technology
- Smart buildings
- Operational technology
- Smart home ecosystems
- EV charging / energy tech
- Robotics / autonomous systems
- Industrial IoT
Key areas of experience could include:
- APIs and integrations
- Device orchestration
- Telemetry and operational data
- Interoperability challenges
- Cloud + app + hardware ecosystems
- Embedded or edge environments
- Enterprise customer deployments
- Technical discovery and solution architecture
The ideal person is highly credible technically but also commercially capable, able to translate complex technical environments into real-world customer outcomes. This is a high ownership role within a scaling environment, so somebody comfortable operating with ambiguity and helping shape processes from the ground up would do well.
