Site Acquisition Manager in North East

North East Full-Time No working from home possible

Intervl are partnered with a high-growth clean energy infrastructure business that is building a nationwide network across the UK, supporting the decarbonisation of commercial transport.

They’re looking for a commercially driven Site Acquisition Manager with a genuine hunter mentality to help identify, source and acquire strategic sites across the UK.

This is not a role where opportunities simply land on your desk. You’ll be expected to proactively uncover off-market opportunities, build relationships with landowners and agents, and originate sites from scratch.

A major focus will befreehold acquisition, so we’re particularly interested in people who have successfully sourced, negotiated and secured freehold land/property agreements.

What you'll be doing

  • Proactively source and originate new sites, including identifying off-market opportunities and directly approaching landowners.
  • Lead freehold acquisitions from initial identification through Heads of Terms, negotiation and purchase agreement.
  • Build and leverage relationships with landowners, agents, developers and other property stakeholders to create new opportunities.
  • Own the end-to-end acquisition process across site appraisal, commercial negotiations, due diligence, legal coordination and investment approval.
  • Assess commercial viability alongside planning, access and wider development considerations.
  • Prepare commercial cases and present opportunities through internal review and Investment Committee.
  • Work closely with planning, development, technical, legal and finance teams to progress acquired sites.

What they're looking for

  • You’ll ideally have 4+ years' experience in site acquisition, land buying, development or commercial property, potentially coming from infrastructure, roadside, logistics, industrial, energy or commercial real estate.
  • Most importantly, they want someone who can demonstrate:
  • Experience negotiating Heads of Terms, purchase contracts, option agreements and easements is highly valuable. MRICS/APC is desirable but not essential.

This is an opportunity to join an ambitious, entrepreneurial team and play a direct role in securing the locations that will underpin a major UK clean transport infrastructure rollout.
