I’m supporting a genuinely exciting business operating at the intersection of energy, electrification, connected devices, AI and enterprise software as they hire their first dedicated Sales Engineer. This is not a traditional presales role focused purely on demos. The business is looking for someone who can operate as the technical-commercial bridge between customers, sales, product and engineering, helping shape complex enterprise opportunities and bring structure to the sales engineering function as the company scales.

The role will involve:

  • Technical discovery and customer workshops
  • Enterprise solution shaping
  • APIs, integrations and operational workflows
  • Supporting complex sales cycles and technical discussions
  • Working closely with product and engineering teams
  • Translating customer requirements into workable technical solutions
  • Building scalable sales engineering processes and collateral

Backgrounds that could fit well include:

  • Sales Engineering
  • Solutions Architecture
  • Enterprise SaaS
  • IoT / Connected Devices
  • Cloud Platforms
  • Systems Integration
  • Energy Technology
  • EV Charging / Electrification

The key here is somebody who is technically credible, commercially aware and comfortable operating in ambiguity within a scaling environment.
