A well established engineering business delivering HV infrastructure across the UK is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of electrical power distribution projects. This is a site based role, managing the planning, coordination and execution of HV infrastructure works from construction through to commissioning.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of HV electrical infrastructure projects from planning through execution
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets and resource plans
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and industry standards
  • Manage project financials including forecasting and cost control
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, stakeholders and regulatory bodies
  • Monitor project progress to ensure scope, cost and timelines remain on track

What they’re looking for:

  • Strong experience delivering electrical infrastructure or power distribution projects
  • Background within energy, utilities, grid infrastructure or HV construction environments
  • Knowledge of NEC or FIDIC contract frameworks
  • Health & Safety qualification such as SMSTS, NEBOSH or IOSH
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability
  • Ability to coordinate complex site activities while maintaining high safety standards

Desirable:

  • Electrical engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
  • Experience on National Grid or utility infrastructure projects
  • Understanding of HV/LV cable installation, switchgear or commissioning

This is a site-based role and will require regular presence on project sites.
