A well established engineering business delivering HV infrastructure across the UK is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of electrical power distribution projects. This is a site based role, managing the planning, coordination and execution of HV infrastructure works from construction through to commissioning.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of HV electrical infrastructure projects from planning through execution
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets and resource plans
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and industry standards
- Manage project financials including forecasting and cost control
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Maintain strong communication with clients, stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Monitor project progress to ensure scope, cost and timelines remain on track

- Strong experience delivering electrical infrastructure or power distribution projects
- Background within energy, utilities, grid infrastructure or HV construction environments
- Knowledge of NEC or FIDIC contract frameworks
- Health & Safety qualification such as SMSTS, NEBOSH or IOSH
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability
- Ability to coordinate complex site activities while maintaining high safety standards
Desirable:
- Electrical engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
- Experience on National Grid or utility infrastructure projects
- Understanding of HV/LV cable installation, switchgear or commissioning
