We’re partnering with a fast growing platform building a multi site solar/BESS portfolio. You’ll be the linchpin for route to connection, shaping strategy from feasibility and budget/firm offers through contestable delivery, turning complex ESO/DNO constraints into clear execution plans that protect programme and yield.
What you’ll do:
- Lead grid strategy: feasibility, AFEs, offer negotiation, Mod Apps, SoW, curtailment and route to energisation.
- Own relationships with ESO/DNO/IDNOs; steer approvals and contestable works to schedule.
- Oversee HV design interfaces (substations/cables) and unlock site access/logistics.
- Translate technical constraints into commercial decisions and portfolio risk dashboards.
- Create a repeatable playbook to scale connections across concurrent schemes.
You’ll bring:
- Deep UK grid connections experience (G99, ICP delivery, 33kV to 132kV substation/cable packages).
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder skills, from network operators to exec teams.
- Ability to read SLDs, challenge designs, and simplify complexity for decision-makers.
- High impact on value and timelines; genuine ownership of critical path outcomes.
