Interv_l are working with a well-established power engineering business delivering HV infrastructure projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint an experienced Senior Authorised Person to join their operational team. If you are an authorised SAP looking for a role where you'll have genuine autonomy, varied projects, and the opportunity to lead switching operations from planning through to delivery this could be for you.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the safe planning and execution of HV switching activities whilst supporting the delivery of a wide range of electrical infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on position where you'll work closely with project teams, engineers and clients to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Acting as an authorised SAP for 11kV and 33kV networks.
  • Preparing and issuing switching schedules and safety documentation.
  • Carrying out HV switching, isolation and commissioning activities.
  • Supporting construction, testing and energisation of new electrical infrastructure.
  • Providing technical guidance to engineers and site teams.
  • Liaising with DNOs, ICPs, clients and subcontractors.
  • Ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.
  • Supporting investigations, audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

We're keen to speak with people who have:

  • Current or previous 11kV and/or 33kV SAP authorisation.
  • Experience within HV distribution, utilities, power, renewables or electrical infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of switching procedures and safe systems of work.
  • Experience working on construction, maintenance or commissioning projects.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
