🌍 Renewable Energy | BESS | Solar | Wind | Hydrogen
Are you a multi-disciplinary design engineer looking to step into a broader renewables platform? We’re supporting a leading renewable energy developer looking to appoint a Project Design Engineer to coordinate engineering and design activities across battery storage, solar, wind and green hydrogen projects. This is not a pure design production role. It’s about managing design interfaces, reducing risk, and adding value across development and delivery phases.
The Role:
- Coordinating civil and multi-disciplinary design activities
- Managing design reviews and technical governance
- Supporting preliminary and detailed design phases
- Reviewing third party consultant outputs
- Leading safety in design and supporting CDM responsibilities
- Identifying interface and technical risks early
You’ll be working across multiple technologies, so experience in BESS, solar or wind is welcome, you don’t need exposure to all of them.
What We’re Looking For:
- Engineering degree (civil or related discipline preferred)
- 4 to 8 years’ experience in engineering/design within renewables or infrastructure
- Experience coordinating or managing design activities
- Strong understanding of engineering governance and compliance
- Exposure to CDM/safety in design principles
- Commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills
This role would suit someone currently in a consultancy or EPC environment looking to move client side and gain exposure across a wider renewables portfolio.
Why Consider It?
- Hybrid working
- Exposure to multi-technology renewable projects
- Clear development pathway within a growing engineering function
- Opportunity to influence design quality and process consistency
