Location: Remote/Hybrid with travel around the South/South East
We’re looking for a Project Manager to deliver public and commercial EV charging infrastructure projects across the South East. This role is particularly well suited to candidates from street lighting, street furniture, highways or utilities, where experience with Section 50 licences, traffic management and local authority coordination is essential and highly transferable into EV charging.
The role
You’ll manage projects from pre-construction through to installation and commissioning, taking responsibility for planning, coordination and safe delivery of on-street and public-realm EV charging schemes (AC & DC).
What you’ll be doing
- Leading pre-construction activities
- Planning and coordinating traffic management in line with local authority and highways requirements
- Delivering EV charging projects end-to-end (AC & DC)
- Managing contractors, engineers, DNOs, councils and highways teams
- Overseeing civils and electrical works on-site
- Ensuring compliance with H&S, quality and industry standards
- Reporting progress, risks and costs to clients and senior management

Experience with Section 50 permits, TM planning, columns, feeder pillars, cabinets, ducting and civils is highly relevant. EV charging experience is a plus not essential. Proven project management experience in infrastructure delivery. Strong pre-construction and stakeholder coordination skills. Solid understanding of Section 50 (NRSWA) and traffic management. Comfortable managing multiple live sites. Based in the South of England and the ability to travel.
