We’re working with a growing infrastructure-led organisation delivering long-term public sector contracts across the UK. As part of continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Bid Manager to own and drive competitive tenders across local authorities and public sector frameworks. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys managing complex bids end-to-end and working cross-functionally to win high-value, long-term contracts.

The role

You will be responsible for managing the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity qualification through to submission and post-bid review. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing public sector tenders, frameworks, and competitive dialogue processes
  • Leading go / no-go decisions and bid strategy
  • Coordinating inputs from commercial, finance, operations, technical and senior stakeholders
  • Producing high-quality written responses aligned to evaluation criteria
  • Managing bid programmes, deadlines, and governance
  • Supporting pricing, commercial and contractual responses
  • Maintaining bid libraries, templates, and continuous improvement processes

About you

Proven experience delivering public sector bids in regulated or infrastructure-led environments. Comfortable managing multiple bids in parallel under time pressure. Strong bid writing and storytelling capability. Commercially astute with experience supporting pricing and value propositions. Confident engaging senior internal stakeholders. Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
