Are you ready to take ownership of complex, sustainable building projects from design through to delivery? We’re supporting a well established engineering consultancy on the search for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team. This is an opportunity to work on high profile projects across education, healthcare, commercial, defence, and transport, with a strong focus on low carbon and sustainable design.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the electrical design of building services projects, from concept through detailed design.
- Working closely with clients to develop clear briefs and produce options appraisals and design reports.
- Coordinating with architects, structural/civil engineers, and project teams to deliver fully integrated solutions.
- Overseeing site activity, ensuring quality standards and budget control.
- Supporting tender processes and validating commissioning procedures.
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture.
What we’re looking for:
- Degree qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or related).
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards this.
- Track record of delivering substantial and complex construction projects.
- Strong understanding of British Standards and ideally Scottish Technical Standards.
- Proficiency with MS Office; exposure to AutoCAD, IES, or other design tools would be an advantage.
- Experience in sustainable/low carbon building design is highly desirable.
