Are you an asset management professional with experience across battery storage or renewable energy assets and looking to step into a role with real operational ownership? I’m supporting a fast growing energy business scaling its battery storage portfolio across the UK. They’re now looking for an Asset Manager to take responsibility for the performance, optimisation and commercial delivery of a rapidly expanding BESS fleet.
What you’ll be doing:
- Oversee day-to-day performance of operational BESS assets across the UK
- Drive asset optimisation strategies, working closely with trading, control room and performance engineering teams
- Manage contractors, service providers and O&M partners, ensuring uptime, compliance and contract performance
- Analyse asset performance data, identify issues and implement improvements to maximise availability and revenue
- Ensure HSQE, regulatory and grid compliance across all operational sites
- Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term lifecycle planning for a growing asset portfolio
- Get involved in onboarding new sites through commissioning and into steady-state operation
What we’re looking for:
- Experience managing operational assets within BESS, solar, wind, CHP, energy networks or wider power/utility environments
- Strong understanding of asset performance, O&M, technical documentation and commercial drivers
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, trading, planning and external contractors
- Confident analysing operational data and presenting insights/recommendations
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of UK grid operations, routes-to-market or flexibility markets
- Experience with SCADA, telemetry, EMS or performance monitoring systems
- Background in O&M, engineering or control room operations
