We’re looking for a someone with proven experience in EV charging infrastructure to step into a pivotal technical leadership role.
You’ll oversee the full lifecycle of EV charging installations — ensuring they\’re expertly designed, safely delivered, and meet the highest quality standards.
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of EV charging sites — from initial design through to installation and commissioning
- Work closely with contractors, suppliers to keep projects on track
- Spot and flag potential risks that could impact quality, timelines, or costs
- Act as the technical expert and advisor for internal teams
- Provide input on product selection and system compatibility
- Deliver accurate updates and regular performance reports to project stakeholders
- Oversee on-site health & safety compliance and ensure adherence to all HSE requirements
- Collaborate across design, planning, and delivery teams to keep projects aligned
- Support senior leadership with technical guidance when needed
✅ What You Bring:
- Experience as a Engineering Manager (or similar role) in infrastructure or energy
- Direct experience delivering EV charging projects
- Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems and IET Code of Practice
- Familiarity with DNO processes and public highway installations
- Proficiency in tools like AutoCAD, Amtech/Trimble, and manual design calculations
- Understanding of supply chain management, reporting, and project tracking
- Able to provide electrical sign-off (NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor status is a plus)
- Up-to-date with BS7671 and 18th Edition regs
🎓 Qualifications:
- City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition, 2nd Amendment)
- City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent testing & inspection qualification
- Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship route, etc.)
- SSSTS/SMSTS (preferred)
- Higher-level electrical/electronic engineering qualification (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
