Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical and mechanical installation work on substation and HV infrastructure sites.
- Work from construction drawings and method statements, preparing and following RAMS.
- Gland and terminate multi-core cables and install primary HV plant equipment.
- Complete quality and handover documentation for all work performed.
- Maintain and inspect tools and equipment, reporting defects as required.
- Follow company Health & Safety procedures, identifying and reporting unsafe acts or conditions.
- Support continuous improvement and safe working practices across all site activities.
What You’ll Need
- Previous experience as an Electrical Fitter or similar within HV/substation environments.
- Strong cable termination and glanding skills.
- Understanding of electrical safety requirements when working on live or high voltage sites.
- Ability to read technical drawings and produce accurate RAMS.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation, desirable.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to regional sites.
- PASMA / MEWP / Telehandler / Confined Space certification, desirable (training can be provided).
