Our Client – One of the UK\’s most respected names in renewable infrastructure, as they grow their solar division. Backed by long-term funding and an established reputation, this company is delivering large-scale commercial EV Charging projects nationwide, and they’re looking for a skilled Electrical Estimator to join the team.

Role Overview: As an Electrical Estimator, you\’ll play a critical role in supporting the commercial and delivery teams with accurate and timely costings across a variety of PV infrastructure projects. You’ll work closely with design, procurement, and delivery teams to help shape competitive bids and ensure projects are both viable and profitable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate cost estimates for commercial and industrial EV projects
  • Review survey data and CAD drawings to validate site-specific details
  • Liaise with the internal design team to align technical scope with pricing
  • Create clear, client-ready proposal documents that support bid success
  • Source quotes from suppliers and subcontractors; seek value engineering opportunities
  • Conduct occasional site visits to verify assumptions
  • Help refine and improve internal estimating processes and pricing tools

What We\’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in EV charging
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical layouts, design principles, and schematics
  • Familiarity with CAD, Excel, and estimating software (e.g. Trimble, Bluebeam, or similar)
  • Up-to-date on BS 7671 and relevant EV charging regulations
  • Able to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines in a remote/hybrid setup
  • A strong communicator who can collaborate cross-functionally
