The predicted salary is between 25000 - 32000 £ per year.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team based in Greys, West Thurrock. You will perform sample preparation and extraction for analysis of petroleum products, following strict method guidelines. This is a shift position and will require you to work on a shift rota which includes 7am to 7pm for two days, then 7pm to 7am for two days, then 4 days off.

Responsibilities

  • Testing a variety of petroleum products to ASTM and IP test methods.
  • Preparing and testing sample blends as requested by customers.
  • Preparing and testing quality control samples, standardising reagents and solutions, and calibrating equipment as needed for the testing process.
  • Verifying samples to specifications and communicating results obtained.
  • Making appropriate entries in the required records and systems.
  • Generating reports for release to customers.
  • Receiving and logging samples for testing on the required systems.
  • Maintaining documentation as required to meet ISO 17025.

Qualifications

  • Good IT literacy skills.
  • Knowledge of chemistry, with A-level qualifications or above, and preferable experience in analytical instrumentation.

  • Ability to work with the team and contribute ideas and innovation at meetings to meet budget and business demands.
