ABOUT YOU: You are an experienced Mechanical Piping Inspector with 10+ years in the Oil & Gas industry, including at least 5 years in a construction supervision role. You have strong knowledge of welding, NDT techniques, piping inspection standards (e.g. PED), and QA/QC systems. You're a proactive problem-solver with good HSE awareness, strong communication skills, and high professional integrity. You're confident working on-site, ensuring quality, compliance, and safe delivery.

Required skills and experience:

  • Preferred Technical diploma
  • At least 10 years of experience in the O&G industry
  • At least 5 years of construction experience in a supervision role
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Package
  • Excellent knowledge of welding and NDT techniques
  • Basic knowledge of metallurgy and welding engineering principles
  • Good knowledge of pressure vessel/piping inspection and certification requirements (PED etc)
  • Good knowledge of QA/QC Welding Management Systems
  • Basic knowledge of construction and commissioning HSE requirement and standards implementation
  • Flexible and proactive individual with excellent communication skills and problem solving
  • High ethical standard for own and team members' work

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: The Mechanical Piping Inspector will supervise piping works, ensuring they are executed in line with project schedules, budget, drawings, specifications, and applicable standards, while maintaining quality and technical compliance throughout project delivery.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Verify Technical Integrity of Piping Works
  • Monitor compliance of Piping Works with project schedule and budget
  • Validate Piping works progress (constructed quantities)
  • Verify that pipeworks fabrication and erection are carried out in compliance with project drawings, specifications and applicable international code and standards
  • Verify that utilised bulk material is certified and in compliance with project specifications and applicable standards
  • Ensure that all flushing, testing, reinstating pipework are conducted in accordance with the drawings, documents, specifications, and/or the company's procedures
  • Keep daily records of manpower and events and report if manpower levels affect the schedule
  • Witness any construction and pre-commissioning tests and endorse (verify and sign) the relevant quality check sheets, as required by Quality Control Plan
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting and technical solutions
  • Assure Piping works punch lists are properly detected, integrated within the mechanical Completion master punch list and cleared
