Intertek is looking for enthusiastic and ambitious Graduate Analysts to join our growing laboratories in Melbourn, Cambridgeshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates who have completed a placement year, industrial internship or have gained equivalent laboratory experience during their studies. ABOUT YOU
We're looking for someone who enjoys practical laboratory work, has a keen eye for detail and is excited to continue learning in a supportive and collaborative environment.
- A degree (BSc or MSc) in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biology or another relevant scientific discipline
- A placement year, industrial internship or equivalent practical laboratory experience gained during your degree
- Strong laboratory skills and an interest in analytical techniques
- Good numerical and data interpretation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
- IT literacy and confidence using Microsoft Office applications
- Experience of working within a regulated laboratory environment, or knowledge of GMP and laboratory safety procedures, would be advantageous but is not essential.

As a Graduate Analyst, you'll become an integral member of our laboratory team, supporting the preparation and analysis of samples using a variety of analytical techniques. From day one, you'll receive structured training and mentoring from experienced colleagues while developing the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to build a successful scientific career. This role offers exposure to a wide range of laboratory techniques, client projects and opportunities for career progression within one of the world's leading testing, inspection and certification companies.
- Preparing and analysing samples using a range of analytical techniques
- Following validated laboratory methods and standard operating procedures
- Recording, reviewing and reporting analytical data accurately
- Supporting investigations and basic interpretation of scientific results under supervision
- Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring a safe, organised working environment
- Working in accordance with quality standards, health and safety procedures and company policies
- Collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality results for clients
