Intertek is currently seeking a Site Quality Manager to join an industrial construction project. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating all QA/QC activities on site, acting as the main focal point with clients, contractors and third parties, and ensuring full compliance with contractual, regulatory and quality requirements during project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain the Site Quality Plan for all construction site activities, in coordination with the Project Quality Manager.
  • Act as the single point of contact and accountable person for all QA/QC project activities in front of clients, contractors and third parties.
  • Lead and supervise the Site Quality Management Team, including Area QC Engineers, QA Engineers, Welding/NDE Engineers, Lead QC Inspectors, Discipline Inspectors and Certification Engineers.
  • Participate in the selection and interview process of the site Quality Construction team.
  • Ensure construction personnel are familiar with quality objectives and requirements, and develop and deliver quality induction and training programs.
  • Review and approve Subcontractors’ quality plans and procedures, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements.
  • Perform and oversee QA/QC activities for the assigned project and/or construction contract.
  • Verify compliance with contractual and quality requirements during construction, erection and installation activities.
  • Ensure that all required quality documentation, QCPs, inspection and test records are available in line with the construction schedule.
  • Interface daily with subcontractors and monitor their compliance with quality requirements.
  • Ensure proper filing and maintenance of quality records within both Service Provider and Subcontractor organizations.
  • Coordinate and liaise with third-party inspection bodies as required.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the Site Quality Management System (QMS) through planned audits and reviews.
  • Identify, report and manage QA/QC deviations and non-conformities, defining recovery actions and following up until closure.
  • Contribute to the technical evaluation of bids related to Construction Scope of Work (SOW).
  • Support the preparation of Subcontractor and Inspection Agency performance evaluations.
  • Manage and update QA/QC deliverables using applicable IT tools (e.g. EasyPlant, GAIA).
  • Analyze contractor data and monitor Site Quality KPIs.
  • Ensure subcontractor completion records and documentation are properly developed to enable a smooth Mechanical Completion and handover.
  • Identify, investigate and report major quality issues or failures.
  • Coordinate with the Site Project Control Manager on weekly and monthly site progress reports.
  • Review Test Packs and the Final Quality Construction Dossier.
