We are seeking a commercially driven sales and business development professional with proven experience across the chemicals, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, packaging, and related sectors. With a strong background in value-based selling and client retention, I excel at understanding complex client needs and translating them into tailored, results-focused solutions.
Required skills and experience:
- Proven experience in sales or business development within chemicals, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, packaging, or related sectors
- Background in consultancy or experience working for a competitor is highly desirable
- Strong capability in needs analysis, value-based selling, and client retention
- Able to quickly assimilate technical knowledge and communicate complex expertise clearly and confidently
- Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles
- Self-motivated, commercially driven, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Key activities:
- Identify, approach, and convert new business opportunities across target sectors
- Manage complex, consultative sales cycles from initial engagement through to contract close
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships across the UK
- Drive renewals and upselling opportunities through strategic account management
- Work closely with internal technical and delivery teams to ensure credible, value-based solutions for clients
- Contribute to sustainable and stable revenue growth in a fast-paced, competitive environment
- Conducting in-person visits and engaging in cold calls to cultivate and sustain relationships
- Collaboration with colleagues across various business areas to maximise sales opportunities
- Administer in the company's CRM system and other systems linked to the responsibility
