Overview: The role provides an opportunity to engage and develop in all aspects of consultancy services from specialist technical support to business and staff development, providing a great chance to advance your career.

Responsibilities: As the Marine Environmental Consultant, you will be undertaking and managing a range of environmental studies, including EIA, SEA and HRA. It will be varied, across a portfolio of projects and sectors including subsea cables, offshore renewables, and oil and gas - ensuring consultancy solutions that are sustainable, as we transition to a low carbon future.

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Masters in a relevant discipline (environmental sciences or similar)
  • Skilled in ornithology, underwater sound, marine ecology, marine mammals or fish and shellfish assessments
  • Demonstratable project management and client account experience
  • Track record of liaison with regulators and other stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience delivering consenting and environmental assessment solutions in the marine energy / industry sectors
  • Strong technical, analytical, organisational and communication skills.

Additional Desirable Skills:

  • 8+ years' experience in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in preparing successful tender submissions
  • Experience in mentoring junior consultants
  • Professional Chartership
