About the opportunity:
You will register, prepare and test routine samples in line with customer expectations and, when required, assist in the development of new in-house procedures according to business demands. To be compliant with continuous improvement and to follow the laboratory's quality management system. To promote a strong quality and safety culture which reflects the values of Intertek and the expectations of customers.
Key activities:
- Conducting microbiological analysis of food samples using a variety of methods and techniques, including PCR, OBOP, and traditional culture methods
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all tests and results
- Participating in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results
- Adhering to all laboratory safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest advances in microbiology and food testing methodologies
- Ensuring all routine and urgent analysis is performed and reported according to customer expectations
- Continuously being aware of opportunities for improvement in the laboratory
- Being accountable for stock levels
- Monitoring and evaluating systems for improvement through waste reduction and efficiency
