Intertek, an international leader in ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection, and Certification) services, is looking for a Junior Inspector to join its Italian team of Caleb Brett (Cargo). Caleb Brett provides inspections on cargo and analytical assessments for the oil, mining, minerals, and biofuels industries. With solutions based on years of experience, innovation, and advanced analytical capabilities, we help our clients optimise cargo performance and solve difficult technical challenges.
As a Junior Inspector, you will be part of the inspection team in Ravenna and will be responsible for volume measurements, temperature checks, sampling, calculations, documentation verification, and ensuring that reports provide the client with an independent, accurate, and complete assessment of the quantity and quality of the material.
You will be involved in:
- Executing sampling, measurements, and inventories of tanks/ships on land.
- Communicating and coordinating with terminal, transport, and client company personnel to facilitate the proper execution of assigned tasks.
- Monitoring the availability of necessary supplies for the above processes and informing coordinators of any supply needs.
- Performing routine calibration of equipment, verification, and functional checks.
- Organising and coordinating work to ensure services are delivered and that reports and samples are presented correctly, completely, and in a timely manner.
- Verifying and communicating results obtained and making records in appropriate supports, both paper and electronic, necessary to ensure the validity and traceability of information.
