Overview
As an analytical chemist in a fast-paced, global Intertek lab, you will perform ICP-MS analysis on environmental samples and contribute to method development and validation. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate results, interpret data, and advise customers on testing approaches. You will maintain equipment, support safe operations, and help develop new test methods. This role offers the chance to deepen ICP-MS expertise within the fuels, lubricants and petroleum testing sector and contribute to quality and compliance.

Responsibilities
- Undertake and coordinate ICP-MS testing using established methods
- Interpret test data and provide conclusions based on results
- Advise customers on testing methods and product analysis issues
- Maintain existing test equipment and develop/commission new methods and equipment
- Ensure compliance with quality and accreditation procedures
Key requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Sciences or a related discipline
- Practical laboratory experience with ICP-MS
- Experience with sample preparation and dilution for complex matrices
- Understanding of analytical chemistry principles, calibration, quality control and data interpretation
- Good IT literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Previous laboratory experience with ICP-MS/OES techniques
- Practical experience in a laboratory environment and with experimental test methods
