Required skills and experience:
- Good IT literacy skills
- Knowledge of chemistry with A-level qualifications or above and preferably experience in analytical instrumentation
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures in accordance with company policies and established methodologies

About The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team based in Greys West Thurrock. You will perform sample preparation and extraction for the analysis of petroleum products following strict method guidelines.
Key activities:
- Testing a variety of petroleum products to ASTM and IP test methods
- Preparing and testing sample blends as requested by customers
- To prepare and test quality control samples to standardise reagents and solutions and calibrate equipment as needed for the testing process
- Verifying samples to specifications and communicating results obtained
- Make appropriate entries in the required records and systems
- Generate reports for release to customers
- Receive and log in samples for testing on the required systems
- Maintain documentation as required to meet ISO 17025
