We are seeking a Microscopy Analyst to join our Materials Characterisation team. Using state-of-the-art Scanning Electron Microscopes, you'll prepare and analyse a fascinating range of debris and material samples, helping solve real-world problems for clients across the aviation, marine, industrial and defence sectors. Every sample tells a story — you'll help uncover it.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a technically minded and detail-oriented individual with experience in laboratory analysis and materials characterisation. Knowledge and experience using Scanning Electron Microscopy/Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (SEM/EDS), optical light microscopy and/or image analysis techniques.
Required skills and experience:
Experience with Scanning Electron Microscopy/Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (SEM/EDS) or optical light microscopy and/or image analysis
Experience of working in an industrial laboratory environment ideally within the fuels and lubricants sector
Relevant qualifications or experience of material science/engineering/metallurgy/analytical techniques
Full driving license

We are seeking a Microscopy Analyst to join our materials characterisation team. Operating our state of-the-art Scanning Electron Microscopes, you will prepare & analyse a varied and diverse array of debris samples supporting our clients in the aviation, marine, industrial & military sectors.
Key activities:
Undertaking and co-ordinating testing using established test methods
Interpretation of test data and provision of meaningful conclusions based on test results
Compiling customer reports and providing advice to customers on results
Provide on call support on a rota basis
Developing/commissioning of new test methods and equipment as required
Ensuring compliance with relevant quality and accreditation procedures
