As the Business Development Manager, you will be a motivated self-starter with a collaborative and technically biased mindset. The Technical Sales Manager will support the client throughout the whole sales cycle from proof of concept through to certification of a wide variety of products.
Required skills and experience:
- Five years' experience in a business-to-business sales environment, ideally selling similar products or solutions and demonstrable successful previous on-target performance.
- Experience / awareness / understanding of ICE & New Markets components / systems / testing procedures.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to targets, understanding concepts of sales forecasting, pipeline management, conversion rates and sales planning.
- Self-motivated with a positive 'can-do' attitude.
- Good IT skills, including experience of working with a CRM system.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Technical Sales Manager to generate new leads, identify opportunities, meet clients and close business deals for ICE & New Markets Testing.
Key activities:
- Face to face and Teams meetings with current and new business clients.
- Lead management, opportunity generation and pipeline maintenance.
- Delivering high levels of customer service and building strong relationships with clients.
- Closing deals and achieving sales targets.
- Updating the Customer Relationship Management System.
- Network collaboration across the wider Intertek organisation to create leads with Intertek stakeholders.
- Identify new market trends and opportunities for expansion of current client offering.
- Be well organised and planned, understanding the 'numbers' behind sales activity and maintaining them.
- Understand the wider marketplace, identifying customer needs.
- Strong Business to Business Selling including high activity, physical and remote meetings.
