Experienced Vehicle Delivery Driver (Self Employed) in Birmingham

Birmingham Part-Time On-site
I

If you enjoy driving, working independently and having variety in your day, Trade Plate driving could be a great fit.

You will need access to a driveway or suitable off-road parking space, as you may take a vehicle home in the evening to deliver to the customer the following day.
Intertechnic Logistics is looking for reliable self-employed Trade Plate Drivers to collect and deliver vehicles across the UK.
You'll be working with Intertechnic Logistics, an established vehicle movements business with more than 29 years' experience in the industry.
Why Consider Trade Plate Driving?
This isn't a traditional employed driving role.
You'll work independently, travel to different locations, drive a wide variety of vehicles and have plenty of freedom in how you organise your journeys.
Between vehicle movements, most drivers use trains and buses, with reasonable public transport expenses reimbursed. Some drivers find more creative ways to travel, including folding bikes or even running shorter sections of their journey to keep fit, reduce waiting time and save on transport.
To support you with your daily vehicle movements, we provide:

Professional and experienced allocator support
Reasonable public transport expenses
Minibus and hire-car support where required
What Does Trade Plate Driving Involve?
Dealerships, auction sites, vehicle compounds, hire companies, businesses and private customers.
Planning your journeys
Completing sign-off documentation and supporting paperwork
Full-time drivers typically complete around two vehicle movements per day, equating to approximately ten movements across a five-day working week.
A Full UK Driving Licence held for at least 6 years
No TT99, DR, DD, CD or IN driving codes
Access to a driveway or suitable off-road parking space, as you may occasionally take a vehicle home in the evening for delivery the following day
Previous professional driving experience can be useful but isn't limited to Trade Plate driving.
The role may suit people who have worked as a Car Rental Driver, Vehicle Service Agent, Fleet Driver, Auction Driver, Chauffeur, Professional Driver, Taxi Driver, Private Hire Driver, Courier Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Vehicle Appraiser or Vehicle Inspector.
Is Trade Plate Driving Right for You?
Trade Plate driving isn't a traditional 9–5 role.
A working day can typically span around 10–12 hours, and finishing times can vary depending on vehicle collections, deliveries, traffic and public transport connections.
You'll therefore need to be flexible and comfortable with early starts and unpredictable finishing times.
For people who enjoy independence, driving and variety, however, it can offer a very different working lifestyle from a conventional employed driving position.
25p per mile after 3 months' service
~26p per mile after 6 months' service
~27p per mile after 12 months' service
~ You are paid weekly every Friday with public transport reimbursed paid a week in arrears

About the company Intertechnic UK was established in 1997 by Peter and Helen Nunn operating as a training provider monitoring and developing best practice for vehicle refurbishment and as a supplier of specialist products for the Ford Direct used vehicle programme.
Intertechnic was retained by Ford to provide a training resource and to monitor suppliers to define an industry standard which would create a bench mark for used vehicles being marketed as Ford Direct through the franchised dealer network. The objective set by Ford was to develop a process of refurbishment techniques, products and quality control to achieve consistency in product presentation and deliver a cost effective solution. Quality was a prerequisite and had to be delivered within the established pricing structure which also had to be able to sustain a profitable operation for the suppliers.
To support the suppliers Intertechnic provided both structured and ad hoc training to maintain standards and develop best practice. The relationship with Ford Direct continued successfully until the end of 2006 when the oem restructured its used car programme strategy.
Steve Mennell joined as a shareholder and Managing Director on January 1st 2010 to bring additional growth to the business through existing and new clients and to review and develop existing working practices. Having previously worked in the daily rental sector and more latterly Camden Corporate Fleet Services.
Founded in 2009, Intertechnic Logistics, based in Northamptonshire, now moves in excess of 4500 vehicles per month. Operated by a team with a combined experience of 30 years we deliver a first class service, at very competitive rates.
