Summary
We are seeking a Logistics Planner to join our dynamic team at Intertechnic Logistics. This role is crucial for coordinating vehicle movements efficiently and ensuring that our operations meet the high standards expected by our diverse clientele.
Due to increased volumes, we now require an additional experienced member of staff to join our Planning team and are looking for the following:
- Main purpose of job: This job role is supporting the Planning team to schedule the movement of vehicles using Trade Plates, ensuring drivers can pick up and drop off vehicles on time and in line with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to Operations Manager
- Working together with the Planning team.
- Telephone liaison with drivers
- Problem solving
- Plan driver routes to maximise efficiency and cost control
- Planning vehicles around requests, challenges and changes
- Notify Customer Service team of any late or non-arrivals
- Develop strong relationships within the transport team
- Responsibility for on call out of hours contact on a rota system
Requirements:
- 2-3 years Proven experience in logistics planning.
- Proactive and organised.
- Computer literate and excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Familiarity with automotive logistics is essential.
- Able to problem solve with the ability to adapt plans
- Driven and passionate about the Logistics industry
Hours of Work: It will be a 40 hour week between the hours of 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday to be arranged. Out of hours responsibility to be discussed.
Holidays: You will be entitled to 23 days holiday per annum plus statutory Bank Holidays. Holiday should be taken at times agreed with the Operations Manager.
Salary: Salary £30,000 p.a.
