IPG is looking for an outstanding individual with the ability to generate new opportunities within the Packaging Ecommerce sector using their existing and new contacts to add to the pipeline and close. It's not just about selling; we are looking for someone with a solutions-based, hands-on approach giving demonstrations, training the customer, and problem-solving. This role is very much about penetrating, developing relationships, and winning new sales with Packaging Fulfillment Companies and the Brand owner.
This opportunity comes at a very exciting time, to support the growth of our UK team and our start-up manufacturing facility based in Widnes.
Some of the responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:
- Focusing on growth, development of new business and customer relationships.
- Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of the prospects' current and future needs.
- Creating a strong pipeline using the IPG product bundle.
- Demonstrating expertise in all communications with the customer regarding implementation and execution, best practices, products and features, partnerships.
- Selling consumables, technical products and a range of automated solutions.
- Preparing Quotations following IPG guidance and participating in project management.
- Demonstrating dispensers and automated solutions.
- Installing and training the customer, providing continuous support throughout trials - following training and supported by the Engineering team.
- Providing forecasts as requested for assigned products business along with visit reports to the required internal stakeholders.
- Acting as a field feedback resource for new product development.
- Working with the Sales Director E-Fulfilment Europe & Distribution UK to develop long-term business plans.
- Participating in the development, launch and marketing of new products and services as directed.
- Addressing customer complaints through the execution of IPG process improvement and facilitating implementation of solutions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with:
- Preferably 3+ years experience within a solutions-based packaging company, tapes, protective packaging, cushioning & Automation - Sustainable packaging would be advantageous.
- Engineering or technical background would be desirable.
- Customer centric and curious.
- Must demonstrate strong and consistent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have a positive 'customer service' mindset and can work independently or in a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Must be able to travel by air or vehicle independently.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Pragmatic, logical strategic thinker, continually driving for new business opportunities with a solution-driven approach.
- Demonstrable track record in effective communication, motivation and influencing skills.
- Clear understanding of sales processes and the importance of forecasting, planning & using CRM.
